0:13-0:19 The polka dance that we are just about to show you used to be danced with a smooth and flat sweeping step and it was composed of three parts. 0:20-0:23 The first part is – a procession of dancing couples. 0:24-0:37 We begin the dance with the leg which is on your partner’s side, M starts with the right leg and W starts with the left leg – 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2. 0:38-0:47 The second part is – the swapping of partners and the exchange between couples using the special “hook-hold”: 0:48-1:01 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, … 1:02-1:09 The third part is dancing the polka in pairs, whirling in four directions along the circle. 1:10-1:18 1-and-2, 1-and-2, 1-and-2, …
